Exhibit Series: Celebration of Heritage

 

African Heritage Annual Exhibit*

Opening: January 18, 2009, 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Admission: Free and open to the public

Theme will be on the African American Family. The African Heritage Exhibition will focus on the need of a strong family foundation within the African and African-American community. This exhibit will feature three St. Louis-based artists that are either of African descent or born on the continent of Africa. This show will offer an awesome range of styles and techniques and the subjects will speak to all who universally believe that a strong nation depends on strong communities, which depend on strong families.

Portraits Around The World*

Opening: January 18, 2009, 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Admission: Free and open to the public

A National, walk-in, juried exhibit of portraits with a focus on cultural diversity (portraits of people from all over the world). Both two-dimensional and three-dimensional works accepted.

Young Artists Showcase*

Opening: March 22, 2009, 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Admission: Free and open to the public

 

Thirty-third juried walk-in exhibition of artwork by young artists (15-19 years of age) who live in the St. Louis area (within 100 miles of the St. Louis artists Guild).
