Exhibition Series: Aggregate
The Aggregate Exhibition Series at the St. Louis Artists' Guild is a group of six exhibitions in which artists, architects, and designers examine our culture of consumption and possible solutions for establishing long-term ecological balance.
An aggregate is a mass or assemblage of particulars, and is the technical term for the loose materials (such as sand or gravel) added to a cementing agent to make concrete. The exhibition series is named Aggregate both to allude to built environments and to remind viewers that change is best achieved through collective action.
In conjunction with the Aggregate Exhibition Series, a Sustainability Panel Discussion is scheduled for Tuesday, November 15, 2011, 7:00pm – 9:00pm.
