Illustration Section: Glenn and Gary McCoy to Speak May 8

Mary's work has been ubiquitous in the culture for decades, and her skill as an illustrator and her success as a marketer of her work is legendary.

Our featured speaker for the March Illustration Section meeting is artist, designer and collector John Foster. John will discuss his experience in collecting self-taught art and vernacular photography, and how this has shaped his view of the many definitions of art. Mark your calendars! John Foster is Director of Business Development for TOKY Branding + Design in St. Louis, Missouri, a strategic branding firm specializing in branding and design for arts and cultural institutions, architects, educational institutions, among others.
A graphic designer for 20+ years, John holds an MFA from Washington University in St. Louis and a BFA from East Carolina University School of Art. For eleven years, he taught graphic design and fine arts at John Burroughs School in St. Louis; he was a member of the corporate design group at Fleishman-Hillard International Communications for nearly 10 years and later Associate Principal at Buck Consultants, a national firm focused on HR and the design of employee communications. »Read more...

The Illustration Section of the St. Louis Artist Guild is excited to announce our February speaker, acclaimed illustrator, painter, and muralist Bryan Haynes. Join us February 14th at 7 pm at the St. Louis Artists' Guild, 2 Oak Knoll Park, Clayton, MO 63105 (at the corner of Big Bend Blvd. and Clayton Road) for the meeting and presentation.
Bryan will show his latest work and discuss some of his projects and commissions. Bryan's work represents a wide array of national clients, awards and gallery representations.
Bryan is an amazing designer, illustrator and painter and this is a special opportunity to meet one of our area's most talented and cordial visual artists.
This meeting is free and open to the public; everyone is welcome.
