Illustration Section

Illustration Section LogoRegular meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at the Artists’ Guild. Meetings are free and open to all Artists’ Guild members and their guests. After each business meeting, a speaker presents his or her work or another topic of interest to the group.

The purpose of the Illustration Section is to recognize Illustration as another form of fine art; to be an advocate of emerging illustrators; to be a force in bringing illustrative art to all segments of our community; to be a resource and a network for illustrators of all ages, interests, and experiences.

In general, the Section’s quest is to promote the art of Illustration in its various forms; to plan, conduct, and host Illustration Exhibits (juried, non-juried and invitational); to provide workshops, seminars, and related activities; to educate others in all aspects of the Illustration Industry; to share in the social benefits that come from our mutual interests, and most of all, to get to know each other better.

The Illustrator’s Section maintains a cooperative portfolio web site at www.stl-illustrator.com as a low-cost means for section members to display their work online.
