Angela Bolling was born in Southern Illinois in 1988. She transplanted to the St. Louis area for grad school and now calls it home. She received a Bachelor Degree from Southern Illinois University Carbondale in painting and in art history as well as a Master of Art degree from Fontbonne University where she studied figurative art and oil painting. She has a long history with drawing, watercolor, and acrylic but currently works solely in oil with a limited palette of four to five colors. Limiting her palette helps to focus her on the finer points of color mixing while she unabashedly continues her true love of expressive mark making. She currently creates pieces that bring the majestic to life with magic and fantastic creatures. When she is not teaching she directs a meals on wheels program, works in her studio, and pets her three cats.
