Introduction to Dry Point and Etching

8 weeks | Wednesdays from 6:00pm to 8:30pm| September 18-November 6

Students will learn the basic techniques and technical aspects of both etching with a copper plate and drypoint printing with plexi glass.
Students will be introduced to all aspects of the printing process, from inking, to preparing paper and making an edition. Returning students will have opportunities to rework their plates and experiment with techniques like chine-colle.

Students should be prepared with several drawings or sketches to use
as possible images to transfer on the first day (size of 6 x 9”). Age
16+
