The St. Louis Artists’ Guild is currently accepting proposals for classes and workshops both online and in-person. We have the facilities to support most 2-D media: drawing, painting, printmaking, encaustics, collage, fiber arts, bookbinding, mixed media, etc. Please view our current classes for more examples of the types of courses we offer. Please read the following and click the button at the bottom of the page to fill out an application. Please contact our Education Coordinator with any questions via phone or email.

TIMEFRAME

Classes are generally divided by season (winter, spring, summer, fall) and posted approximately 6-8weeks prior to the proposed start of the class. We are actively looking to add courses to our schedule for children, teens, and adults.

SUPPLIES

Most class materials are the responsibility of the student. Any special materials required for class use (inks, specific papers, etc.) will be purchased by the Artists' Guild and included in the class fee.

CLASS LENGTH

Most of our classes are 4-8 weeks long and meet once a week for 2.5 hours from 10-12:30, 1-3:30, or 6-8:30. Most in-person classes take place Tues-Sat., however, Monday and Sunday classes can be discussed. If the class meets online, all dates and times are flexible.

WORKSHOPS

Workshops can be one session or multi-part and the length of the workshop depends on the subject matter.

CANCELLATION

Classes will be cancelled if there is low enrollment or inclement weather. If we do not reach the minimum number of students required, the class will be cancelled by the STLAG.

INSTRUCTOR PAYMENT

Instructors are paid $25/hr for instruction time for classes. Payments will be made within 3 weeks of the final class meeting date.
