Alternative Screenprint Methods
November 5 & 12, 2025
2 weeks, Wednesdays, 1-3:30PM
Instructor: Sarah Loving
In this two week workshop, printmaker Sarah Loving will teach two different screen print methods that can easily be replicated at home without emulsion or access to an exposure unit.
Week one will focus on the stencil method, this method uses freezer paper and an x-acto knife to create shapes that can be printed on paper or fabric. Week two will focus on the mono print method. Using a screen students will “paint” screen print ink onto the back of the screen and then print the image. The monoprint revealed is typically very abstract and can be quite pleasing. Each time a print is made, there is just one!
All supplies needed for this workshop are provided.
