DRAFT Art and Dreams - Collage and Mixed Media

This class is designed for beginner artists and dreamers looking to explore the art potential of their night dreams. We’ll start with an introduction to basic strategies for remembering and recording night dreams and how to apply use our dreams to create meaningful artworks using basic collage and mixed media techniques. Each session will include information/demonstration time, art-making studio time, and facilitated dream-art discussion time focused on building our art viewing and analyzing skills. Demos will include how to select, modify and strategically arrange collage images; how to find meaningful abstract compositions within a collage, and how to make a faux stained-glass based on dream images. Participants are encouraged to bring dream memories and basic collage and sketching materials to every session. Additional supplies are listed below.
