Atmospheric Landscapes in Watercolor

October 29 - December 17 (skip November 26), 2025

4 weeks, Wednesdays, 1-3:30pm

Instructor: Elzara Yusufova

In this class, students will explore watercolor techniques to create atmospheric landscapes with light, air, and depth. This will be a  foundational course in watercolor focused on washes, color transitions, and expressive landscape painting. Students will build confidence with fluid techniques while learning composition, layering, and softness in form and color. Using a limited palette and both wet and dry techniques, we will paint misty mornings, rainy cityscapes, and reflective water scenes. This class is perfect for those who want to capture mood and atmosphere in their watercolor paintings.

This class is for beginners or intermediate artists, but we will focus on more basic watercolor skills.

See syllabus for material list.
