Autumnal Watercolors: Pumpkin Still Lives & Fall Foliage Landscapes

Join artist Andrea Tharian to learn the subtleties of fall colors, foliage and still life as we explore the beauty of the season. We will look at how to achieve the illusion of depth and space when painting rolling hills of the Midwest landscape, using our brush to create leaf textures. Students will also study the effects of light and shadow as we paint from an autumn-themed still life in class, templates provided. This class is for those new to the medium of watercolor as well as more experienced students. Concepts covered include color theory and mixing, as well as watercolor techniques dry brush, wet-on-wet, wet on dry and blotting.
