Budding Artists: Ages 6 - 9
Our camps for ages 6-9 emphasize having fun while putting effort into a piece they can be proud of. Each camp is themed, and includes exploration of different materials and techniques. Camp ends with an art show for families and guests to enjoy.
Camps are Monday-Friday, 10am-2pm with a break for lunch from 11:45am-12:15pm.
*With the exception of one week. We will have a special morning camp the week of June 24-28, which will run 9:15-12:15 each day.
Camps are limited to approximately 10 students.
Supplies are included in the cost of the class, and students are responsible for bringing their own lunch.
If you must cancel, please email (info@stlouisartistsguild.org) or call STLAG. A refund will be given only if cancellation occurs seven days prior to the first day of class. No exceptions. Refunds will be processed minus a $25 withdrawal fee (per camp if multiple camps are purchased).

Me!Me!Me! - Self Portraits
June 10 - 14, Monday - Friday, 10:00 AM-2:00 PM
What makes you, you? We will spend the week practicing our observational drawing skills to make self-portraits that look just like us! We will express our individuality using different materials across multiple projects like felt, paint, and drawing materials. In the morning we will focus on learning about specific facial features, and in the afternoons we will work on special projects. Each camper will leave with several self-portraits ready for display at our end of camp portrait gallery!

Rainbows and Unicorns
June 17 - 21, Monday - Friday, 10:00 AM-2:00 PM
Rainbows, unicorns, and sparkles, oh my! Dive into a fantasy world of color and magic this week. Budding Artists will use their imaginations to create colorful artworks all week long. In the morning we will focus on different colors of the rainbow and learn about color mixing to create magical, vibrant projects. In the afternoon sequins and glitter will fly, as we make art inspired by magical creatures like unicorns, fairies, and dragons. We will learn how to draw unicorns, and create a magical mobile! You’ll see every color of the rainbow at our end of week art show!

Under the Sea Glow Art
June 24 - 28, Monday - Friday,9:15 AM - 12:15 PM
Spend the week making art, inspired by the ocean and its inhabitants, that literally glows under blacklight! We will create original artwork inspired by marine life, and days at the beach, using fluorescent paint and other glowing materials. Campers will jump into the waves to draw inspiration for art about what we can see under the sea! Artists will make projects in the morning, ranging from fish, to mermaids, and work on collaborative pieces for our end of the week, immersive glow in the dark art show!
Supplies are included in the cost of the class and students are responsible for bringing their own snack if they choose. Because this is a short morning camp that ends at lunch time, students do not need to bring a full lunch.

Amazing Animal Art
July 8 - 12, Monday - Friday, 10:00 AM-2:00 PM
Make art inspired by the animal kingdom in this week long camp! We will create original artwork using a variety of materials like paint, oil pastels, felt, and air dry clay to re-imagine exciting creatures into art! We will make artwork of animals and their habitats. Campers will become Zoologists, thinking about animals from all over the globe like the arctic, the jungle, the deserts, and even our own backyards. In the mornings, we will work on our individual animal projects, focusing on different types of animals each day, and in the afternoons we will collaborate to create habitats for them. On Friday, we will have our animals on parade for our end of camp art show!

Dragons and Castles
July 15 - 19, Monday - Friday, 10:00 AM-2:00 PM
Hear Ye, Hear Ye! Lords and Ladies, in this week-long camp Budding Artists will leap back in time to the Renaissance. We will use all sorts of materials to create art inspired by medieval times, like tissue paper stained glass windows, painted dragons, cardboard knight shields, bejeweled crowns and masquerade masks. On Friday we will show off our wares, in a Renaissance fair art show!
