Chaotic Surface Design, Decorate a Mug!

November 18 - December 9, 2025

4 weeks, Tuesdays, 6:00 - 8:30 PM

Instructor: Jen Dormuth

Create your own deeply layered masterpiece on clay! This short 4 week course will demonstrate the use of silk screening on ceramics, and incorporate a multitude of other underglaze mark making techniques to enhance the surface. No ceramic skills necessary! Students will be working on a latte mug that has already been bisque fired and is ready to decorate. Students will learn techniques like: how to create digital images to make their own stencils, bubble glazing, stencils/masking, spray painting/ air brushing, and the air pen piping tool. In the final session, we will celebrate our finished pieces!

Class is open to any skill level.

All materials are included in the cost of the workshop.

Students are encouraged to bring a sketchbook for sketching and note taking.
