Explorations in Pen and Ink

7 Weeks, Wednesdays, 2-4:30pm

This is a 7-week course that introduces you to the most common pen and ink drawing approaches through demonstrations and practice. It covers working with ink pens, nib pens, ink wash, different paper types. You’ll develop skills through weekly practice in and outside of class, weekly critiques, and one master study drawing. Students will get exposed to a range of ink-based artists, and skills can be applied to fine art, illustration, comics, hand lettering, printmaking, and tattooing.
