“I found I could say things with color that I couldn’t say any other way.” —Georgia O’Keeffe. Whether you're new to mixed media or looking to expand your artistic toolbox, this short class offers a supportive introduction to watercolor and colored pencils. Learn how to establish form, color, and light with watercolor and also enhance your paintings with layered pencil techniques that add depth, texture, and definition. Through demonstrations, practice exercises, and finished projects, you'll develop confidence in combining these versatile materials into cohesive works of art. The class concludes with a final project and group critique.
