Figure Drawing from Life: A Two Day Workshop Intensive
July 11 & 12, 2026
Saturday and Sunday, 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Instructor: Mel Tychonievich
This two-day figure drawing workshop focuses on building a strong foundation in understanding and rendering the human form. On the first day, participants will study the basic structure of the figure through careful measurement, proportion, and anatomical observation, developing accurate and confident line work. The second day will expand upon this structure by introducing light and shadow, using the principles of Chiaroscuro to create depth, volume, and dramatic contrast. Together, these sessions provide a comprehensive approach to constructing and modeling the figure with clarity and intention. Previous experience in figure drawing and is helpful in this workshop but is not required.
See material list for required supplies.
