Introduction to Landscape Painting in Watercolor
May 6-20, 2026
Wednesdays, 3 weeks, 10 AM - 12:30 PM
Instructor: Andrea Tharian
Over three weeks, students will learn how to crop photos for stronger compositions, along with basic watercolor techniques for painting landscapes and foliage. We will talk about atmospheric perspective, a painting technique where objects in the distance are often described in less detail and contrast than objects in the foreground. This class is designed for beginners in watercolor and/or landscape painting. Landscape reference photos will be provided but students are encouraged to work from their own photographs as well.
See material list for required supplies.
Member $115 | Non-member $165
If you must cancel, please email (info@stlouisartistsguild.org) or call STLAG. A refund will be given only if cancellation occurs seven days prior to the first day of class. No exceptions. Refunds will be processed minus a $25 withdrawal fee per course registration.
