Large Format Spot Illustration & Watercolor: Intermediate to Advanced


August 1 and 2, 2026

Saturday and Sunday, 10AM-2PM

Ages 16+

Learn to pour large washes and get into the nitty gritty details during this 2-day large format watercolor workshop. Students will learn drawing techniques to perfect their illustrations before they paint. Watercolor wash techniques will be explored to create layers and keep colors vibrant. Students will leave with more confidence in creating larger than life paintings that draw the eye.

Skill Level: Intermediate to advanced techniques 

Note: Please bring in an idea of what natural subject you’d like to work on and a couple good photo references (i.e. a specific flowering plant, an animal, a bird, an insect, fossils, skeletons, gems) Instructor will provide some nature references for those who have not chosen a subject.
