Layered Image & Surface:
Mixed Media Transfers, Texture & Wax Processes Workshop
October 24 and 25 , 2026
Saturday & Sunday, 10:00 AM-1:00 PM
Instructor: James Hendricks
Layered Image & Surface is a beginner-to-intermediate mixed media workshop exploring image transfer, collage, drawing, texture-building, layering, abrasion, and cold wax processes. Through demonstrations and guided studio exercises, participants will experiment with a range of contemporary mixed media techniques while creating richly layered surfaces. Students will complete several exploratory studies and develop one larger finished artwork across the two sessions. Emphasis is placed on material exploration, composition, and discovering how layered processes can transform images and create depth, texture, and atmosphere.
See material list for required supplies.
