Natural History Illustration: Drawing & Watercolor
August 11 - September 3, 2026
Tuesdays and Thursdays, 4 weeks (8 sessions), 1-3:30pm

This class covers all things nature- followed by an introduction to watercolor paintings. Topics may include animals, plants, insects, fungi and other subjects. Students will learn drawing & measuring techniques to create detail oriented illustrations- and turn those into vibrant watercolor paintings. Students will leave being confident in their abilities to sketch and observe nature closely.
Students will work on predetermined subjects until the last few classes, but are encouraged to bring in references to draw and paint from.
Skill Level: Intermediate to advanced techniques (enthusiastic beginners welcome)
