Paleo Art- 2 Day Drawing and Watercolor Workshop

July 25 & 26, 2026

Saturday and Sunday, 10AM-2PM

Instructor: May Jernigan

Learn how to draw really cool ancient creatures in this 2-day workshop! Drawing & measuring techniques will be taught to emphasize accuracy. Students will work from museum photos of skeletons, as well as painting and illustration references from professional paleo artists so students can build their creatures from the inside out. The second day of the workshop will teach the basics of watercolor so students can fully flesh out their creatures and leave with a better understanding of their subjects.

Note: The instructor will have a predetermined set of paleo subjects to work from. If you really have your heart set on something specific, please reach out to the instructor ahead of time so the proper reference materials can be gathered in advance of the workshop.

Skill Level: Intermediate to advanced

See syllabus for material list.
