This introductory course offers a clear, structured approach to drawing from observation. Through a series of exercises, students will learn to simplify what they see in order to accurately render objects on the page. Working in graphite on 18x24” drawing paper, students will develop practical skills, like sighting and measuring, that they can apply to any subject, gaining a solid foundation in how to translate the three-dimensional world onto a flat surface.
