Summer Foliage Linocut Workshop 

June 28 and 29, 2025

2 days, Saturday/Sunday, 10am-2PM

This two day hands-on workshop will introduce you to the basics of relief printing. Our theme for this session is "Summer Foliage."  We will use sample images, as well as real plants and flowers to inspire our design. We will draw our composition on paper, and transfer it to a linoleum block. To help participants develop their concepts we will discuss the elements and principles of art, as it pertains to mark making, line quality, texture, shape, perspective, positioning, negative and positive space. We will spend time creating the composition, carving the block, and printing the image on paper. Our goal is to create linocut prints that would be great art for greeting cards, home decor and/ or gifts.
