Watercolor Fundamentals
June 29-July 13, 2026
Mondays, 3 weeks, 6-8:30PM
Instructor: Emily Dustman
“Study the science of art. Study the art of science.”—Leonardo da Vinci. This hands-on workshop is designed to help you build foundational drawing and watercolor skills through a structured, approachable process. Starting with pencil, you’ll learn how to define form and structure, translate proportion and depth, and explore line and shading techniques. Next, you’ll apply watercolor to your compositions, gaining valuable experience with color mixing, layering, and brush control. With step-by-step guidance, you'll create a series of works focused on composition, technique, and creative expression. The workshop concludes with a final project and group critique.
