Introduction to Watercolor

March 4 - April 15 (skip March 18), 2026

Wednesdays, 6 weeks, 10 AM - 12:30 PM

Instructor: Andrea Tharian

This watercolor course is for students intrigued by the medium of watercolor but have been hesitant to pick up a paintbrush. More intermediate students are also welcome if wanting to fine tune their watercolor skills. Andrea will guide participants through various techniques and ways of using the material - including exploring brush types, paper surfaces, and color mixing. Watercolor techniques explored include wet on wet, dry brush and working with resists. A couple weeks will be devoted to painting landscapes using photographs as a reference and then we will explore painting from life.

See material list for required supplies.
